- Volume Null MCD -

Debut mini-album from this Danish constellation. With former OBSKURE TORTURE members, EGGTHÉR sets out on a spectacular musickal journey, through the Causal cosmos - with an overt nihilistic outlook – straight into the pit… Nadir. Significant sonic influences include VULPECULA, SPEAR OF LONGINUS, CATHEDRAL, WINTER, MOONBLOOD… and, needless to say, the masters of the void, BLACK SABBATH.

“In Norse mythology, Eggthér is a giant and herdsman who is described as sitting on a mound and joyfully playing his harp while the red rooster Fjalar begins to crow, heralding the onset of Ragnarök.”

No meaning. No purpose. No objective. No thing…

Limited release of 500 copies.

- Metalhead.it

The band’s first official release, Volume Null, twists black metal, crust, and psychedelic doom in a surprisingly deft manner to produce a high-fidelity, agile EP that works exceptionally well in the shorter format. - Toilet Ov Hell

Black Metal, Sludge and The Cosmos aren’t terms I would ever think to place in the same sentence, let alone use to describe the musical stylings of a band, but Eggthér have set themselves the goal of harnessing all the aforementioned elements to create their debut mini-album “Volume Null”. Formed in 2015 this Danish trio have certainly forged their own sound and identity with this release, a varied mixture of soundscapes that rise and swirl through a thick veil of cosmic atmosphere. - Tyrant's Law
